Giving Tuesday: Become One of 30 New Sustainers

This Giving Tuesday (Nov. 30), our goal is to gain 30 new ICNC Sustainers. Will you be one of them?

What’s an ICNC Sustainer? Sustainers are monthly donors who provide critical funding to the Nature Center.

As an independent nonprofit that does not receive government funding, monthly donations ensure our ability to deliver our mission. ICNC’s educational programs, environmental efforts, programs, events, resources, facilities, ecological restoration (we could go on…) do not happen for free. As a Sustainer, your mission aligns with our mission. You care about sustainability and the long-term care of our environment. You understand the importance of creating and nurturing Champions of Nature, and being a Champion of Nature yourself.

For just $10 a month — our most popular monthly donation level — you support land restoration initiatives at the Nature Center, including continued clean-up efforts post-derecho and the creation of new trails like the Cedar Overlook Trail. You also support educational programming for children and adults alike, including programs like the Fresh Air Academy, Preschool Trail Trekkers, Backyard Chicken Workshops and much more. Your monthly donations, of any amount, keep ICNC’s doors open as a free community resource and protector of precious natural landscapes — landscapes that provide an important place of refuge and peace. Your monthly donations create the next generation of Champions of Nature, who will continue to protect nature into the future.

There are many ways to make small changes that make a BIG difference. By committing to a monthly donation, YOU are making a difference. We’re here because of your generosity and commitment to moving us forward. Become a monthly sustainer today and help us reach our goal: 30 new Sustainers!

“Nature is peaceful, calming, and healing. We experienced so much destruction from the derecho and restoring what was lost is important. Supporting the Indian Creek Nature Center means generations to come can benefit from the peace, calm, and healing nature provides.”

– Destiny Hastings, ICNC Sustainer

“In this rapidly changing world, we need nature in our lives to sustain us. ICNC provides a haven. A place to renew and destress. Their innovative programming for youngsters helps them get the dose of nature they need in their lives. I feel my monthly gift is a way I can say thank you for the important role they play in our lives.”

– Dot Hinman, ICNC Sustainer

“As two Higher Education professionals, we recognize how valuable recurring giving is to an organization. It allows for better budget planning and reduces costs involved with solicitation and reminders. Personally, we like that we can “set it and forget it,” taking the guesswork out of whether we’ve renewed our support.  Sustained giving is the way to go and we’re pleased that ICNC offers this option.”
