2020 Maple Syrup Festival Canceled

We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Maple Syrup Festival, which had been postponed to June 27 & 28. The Maple Syrup Festival is our largest fundraiser of the year, but we feel it is best for the health and safety of the entire community, as well as our staff and volunteers, to wait until next year for this beloved festival.

That said, ticket holders have the option to transfer their ticket to next year, donate all or part of their ticket costs back to the Nature Center, transfer to a gift card to put toward a future purchase, or receive a refund.

As a private nonprofit organization, we depend on the generosity of people like you to support the work of the Nature Center and to stay viable in the community. We appreciate your ongoing support during this difficult time.

Thank you to our sponsors who have continued to support us and this event: Alliant Energy, Collins Aerospace, CIPCO, Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors, GreenState Credit Union, ImOn, Evergreen Packaging, Quaker, Carpenters Local Union 308, The Gazette, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 405, AmeriGas, Reinhart Food Service, Hy-Vee and Hansen’s Dairy.

We are fortunate to have such a supportive community and are looking forward to seeing you all again when things return to normal.

p.s. Our maple syrup and honey will soon be available for purchase online and can be shipped anywhere in the United States — stay tuned for more information & join us for a Virtual Maple Syrup Festival the weekend of June 27 & 28 by sharing a picture of your at-home pancake breakfast and tagging us on social media!
