June 7, 2016 – UPDATE: Linn County announced that paving is scheduled to start on June 20. The paving will extend from 44th St. to the bridge over Indian Creek right next to the Nature Center. Please expect road closures, and plan to use Mt. Vernon Road or Highway 13 to Bertram Rd. to access the Nature Center. Anticipated completion date is August 1.
May 25, 2016 – Planning to visit the Nature Center soon? Please read on! Linn County is re-paving Otis Road from 44th Street to the bridge over Indian Creek right by the Nature Center. This means we’ll have a nice new road in front of Amazing Space in time for Grand Opening Weekend – but it may mean some delays (one-lane traffic) if you’re driving in on Otis Road or down on 44th Street. There will also be a full closure later in the summer, around July, for a short period of time. Prep work to widen the road and extend culverts has already started.
