The Nature Center welcomes Erica Zito as our new Registrar! Erica starts today but she’s no stranger to us. Her husband, Joe, is known around here as “the bug guy” and leads many of our “Bug Academy” insect programs so Erica and their two children (Samantha and Christopher) are frequent visitors. Erica succeeds Liana at the front desk and hers will be the cheerful voice you’ll likely hear on the other end of the phone doling out helpful information and getting you signed up for programs. She’ll also be helping out with the Creekside Shop. Erica has a long history of volunteering and public service work. She’s worked at homeless shelters across the country, helps families adopting children through foster care and also works with adults dealing with mental illness. We’re happy to have Erica join our staff!
