Our current Registrar, the lovely Liana, is going to be leaving us this summer. Her husband got a great job offer and she – for some strange reason – likes to be under the same roof as him at the end of the day. Actually, he’s a good guy and I can understand her thinking. That makes it rather bittersweet for us however. We’re excited for their new opportunity but sorry to see her leave. This does mean an opportunity for someone else, though. This is a really key position at the Nature Center. The Registrar is our first impression with most everyone who comes in contact with the Nature Center. They answer the phone, greet visitors, schedule groups programs, keep track of registrations for our public programs, maintain our VERY busy program calendar and help to coordinate the schedules of our many volunteers. He or she also helps with the Creekside Shop – keeping the displays organized, signs updated and helping customers purchase our cool merchandise. You’ll work 25-28 hours per week including, some Saturdays. Yes, it’s a pretty busy job but it’s pretty fun, too, and there are some nice people here. If you’d like to know more, check out the complete job description here. Then, if you’re interested, shoot Dana Wood your resume and a brief cover letter telling us why you’d like to work here! Mail it or email it; the addresses are on the bottom of the job description. We’re going to miss Liana but we look forward to welcoming someone new to the family!
