Creekside Forest School Back to School Fundraiser
“My child says the school is one of the things he likes best in life, and the nature center is his favorite place. He clearly has strong bonds to his teachers and classmates. He really loves going to school!”
– Creekside Forest School Parent
Learning that Builds Connections
The strong bonds caregivers and children build with each other and their teachers is a major reason why families love Creekside Forest School. When teachers, staff, families and volunteers are all sharing a common goal – to give the children the best nature-based early childhood education experience possible – an enduring sense of community is created.
As the 2023-2024 school year approaches, you can help our teachers ‘Clear the List’ of the supplies they need to create a fun, safe and nurturing environment for learning. At Creekside Forest School we create young Champions of Nature. We believe in immersive outdoor experiences, learning looks like play, and that early childhood education fosters critical lifelong learning skills. Your support of this program joins us in living out the belief statements by which we operate.
Please consider purchasing items from the teacher’s list. They are counting on the Creekside Forest School community to ‘Clear the List’ before the school year begins on August 24.
Clear the List
You can help Creekside Forest School prepare for another successful year with each item you clear from the list. All you have to do is complete your purchase and the item(s) will get mailed directly to the education team at Indian Creek Nature Center.
Help comes in all shapes and sizes. You can purchase helpful items at a variety of price points that will positively impact our students’ educational experience in many different ways. Whether you donate wipes to help teachers clean up or a new mud kitchen to help kids get dirty, you can support the part of outdoor education you care about most.
Find an item that resonates with why you love Creekside Forest School and help ‘Clear the List’ for our teachers and students.
Any Way You Give Helps
In addition to purchasing items off the list you can also help reduce our collective carbon footprint by donating gently used items in place of purchasing a new item. Particularly, slightly worn pots and pans would be great for our mud kitchen. Got stacks of construction paper laying around? We’ll put those to good use too! Please reach out to us at naturecenter@indiancreeknaturecenter.org if you have items you’d like to donate.
And of course, giving a cash donation to Creekside Forest School is another great way to support our teachers and students. Make your gift today by clicking here.
Everyone at Indian Creek Nature Center loves seeing children and young people exploring the land and trails. We are especially excited to welcome Creekside Forest School students back in August. Thank you for supporting nature-based early childhood education in Cedar Rapids!
