Sarah Halbrook joined the Indian Creek Nature Center staff after serving as a board member. Her volunteering led to a desire to work toward the mission of creating Champions of Nature. From organizing her middle school classmates to petition for recycling to working in outdoor classrooms, she has always been passionate about the environment.
She has served on many local boards and committees, taking an active role in local politics and grassroots organizations.
At ICNC, she oversees development and marketing initiatives, ensuring the organization’s success and sustainability.
Sarah graduated from the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) and AmeriCorps (National Readiness and Response Corps). She grew up in Tampa Bay, enjoying rollerblading, hiking, and deep sea fishing. Now in Cedar Rapids, she enjoys adventures with her two children and partner. And yes, Groundhog’s Day is her favorite holiday, coinciding with ICNC’s first program in 1974!
