Indian Creek Nature Center is a natural fit for nature lovers who believe in and support promoting a sustainable future through environmental education, land protection and restoration, and responsible interaction with nature.

 

As Iowa’s first and largest nonprofit nature center, your membership is a meaningful way to pass your love for nature on to others by supporting Indian Creek Nature Center’s mission to create Champions of Nature.

Your support directly impacts:

  • Environmental education programs for thousands of people each year
  • Protection of wild spaces: the Nature Center’s 400 acres of land encompassing prairie, wetlands, woodlands, and regenerative agriculture
  • Outdoor recreational opportunities including hiking, trail walking or running, yoga, snowshoeing, and more

Memberships can be purchased for one or two years and begin from date of purchase (with the exception of lifetime memberships).

Individual

$ 40 per Year
  • Member pricing on select programs
  • 10% discount in Creekside Shop
  • Reciprocal admission to other nature centers (more details below)
  • $5 discount on snowshoe rentals
  • Invitations to member-only events

Household

$ 50 per Year
  • All Benefits included in the Individual Membership
  • Discount on facility rentals
  • All benefits for members of household (including grandchildren under 21 who do not live in the house)

Household Plus

$ 75 per Year
  • All Benefits included in the Household Membership
  • Free snowshoe rentals
  • Priority registration for summer camps

Silver Maple (60+)

Individual Membership
$ 35 per Year

Explorer

$ 150 per Year
  • All Benefits included in the Household Plus Membership
  • Provides trail maintenance and habitats for visitors to explore year-round

Steward

$ 250 per Year
  • All Benefits included in the Explorer Membership
  • Provides staff and volunteers with the program supplies, materials, training, and support to educate over 20,000 people annually
  • Four free Maple Syrup Festival tickets

Protector

$ 500 per Year
  • All Benefits included in the Steward Membership
  • Provides protection for 5 acres of land, including invasive species removal, restoration, and ecosystem maintenance

Lifetime Membership

With a $1,000 gift, lifetime membership contributions grow the Nature Center’s endowment.

Includes all Protector benefits, plus:

Invitation to annual lifetime membership reception
Recognition on lifetime membership display
