Tending Iowa’s Land: Pathways to a Sustainable Future summarizes today’s environmental challenges to our soil, water, climate, and native biodiversity. An edited volume with 28 chapter authors, the book’s science-based explanations and action-oriented essays paint a hopeful picture for our future, if we address today’s environmental warnings.
In addition to outlining the book’s basic premises, editor Connie Mutel will describe communication techniques we all can use to better share our environmental concerns.
Mutel has written 6 other books about nature in Iowa. Tending Iowa’s Land received the 2023 Midwest Book Award in Nature.
