Participants will create a 5-7 foot tall tower with woven sides and twining spirals that join at the top. Put your tower to work in your summer garden as a support for beans or cucumbers, clematis, or sweet peas. Then, repurpose it as a “tree” decked with twinkly lights for the winter holidays.
This is a very physical class. Participants should be comfortable working on the floor and on their knees, crawling, bending, and stooping. Good hand, finger, and arm strength are a must. Gloves may be worn for hand protection. Adults only, please.
Materials: Please bring small, very sharp hand pruners, sharp garden loppers, hammer, lunch, snacks, and beverage. Pliers and knee cushions are optional.
Fee: $110 Non-members $100 Members. Pre-registration is required and closes Feb. 16. Space is limited.
