Proceeds from the Fall Tree Sale support the Nature Center’s recovery from storm damage and ongoing land restoration.
Trees will be available in a variety of sizes and prices and will include:
- Seed Savers’ historic apple varieties (100% of proceeds will go to ICNC recovery)
- Tall canopy trees
- Thicket-forming small trees
- Habitat trees and shrubs
- Species such as: Hackberry, Kentucky Coffee Tree, Pecan, Sycamore, Black Cherry, Hickories, Burr Oak, Chinquapin Oak, Pagoda Dogwood, American Plum, Wafer Ash, Paw Paw
Fall Tree Sale
Wednesday, Sept. 16-Monday, Sept. 28
Sales will open at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020 and close at noon on Monday, Sept. 28, 2020. Orders will be placed through the Nature Center’s website (link coming soon).
Once sales are finalized and the sales window has closed, Nature Center officials will assign no-contact pick-up times on October 15 & 16 (times TBD) to ensure a safety-first process.
Thanks to the generous donation from Seed Savers Exchange, 100% of the proceeds of the historic varieties of apple trees will go to ICNC recovery from the derecho.
