SUMMARY:Willow Garden Tower (WAITLIST ONLY)
DESCRIPTION:Participants will create a 5-7 foot tall tower with woven sides and twining spirals that join at the top. Put your tower to work in your summer garden as a support for beans or cucumbers\, clematis\, or sweet peas. Then\, repurpose it as a “tree” decked with twinkly lights for the winter holidays. \nThis is a very physical class. Participants should be comfortable working on the floor and on their knees\, crawling\, bending\, and stooping. Good hand\, finger\, and arm strength are a must. Gloves may be worn for hand protection. Adults only\, please. \nMaterials: Please bring small\, very sharp hand pruners\, sharp garden loppers\, hammer\, lunch\, snacks\, and beverage. Pliers and knee cushions are optional. \nFee: $110 Non-members $100 Members. Pre-registration is required and closes Feb. 16. Space is limited. \nThis class is full. DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of making your own maple syrup!\nTime will be spent learning how to identify a maple tree in winter\, how to tap a tree\, collect the sap and the process of boiling it down to syrup. Please dress in layers as some time will be spent outdoors in the sugar bush with everyone having a chance to help tap a tree. Sap collection products will be available for purchase at our Amazing Space building.
