DESCRIPTION:Join us for a stroll at the nature center to discover the types of insects and other small critters that live in the prairie. Nets will be provided as we will be sweep netting to view the diversity of critters that call the prairie home.\nFamilies and insect enthusiasts are welcome. Please bring a smartphone if you are interested in helping us document the species we find using the iNaturalist app.  \n$5/person. Join us to learn about the fascinating insects of Iowa! Where do insects live? What do they eat? How do they see? Why are insects important? We will answer these questions together as we explore Iowa’s incredible insects! \nPlease send a sack lunch and snack and dress kids for indoor and outdoor play. SUMMARY:Barn to Farm Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:Bike-riding nature lovers are invited to join us in our inaugural Barn to Farm Bike Ride. \nThis is a self-contained\, self-paced bike ride that will leave from the original ICNC Barn headquarters (6665 Otis Rd SE\, Cedar Rapids) at 8:00 am and travel to Etzel Sugar Grove Farm (3706 St. Peters Rd\, Marion). The route will use the Sac & Fox Trail along with the Cedar Valley Nature Trail. Riders will return to the Barn on the same route. The round trip is approximately 36 miles.
