The Creekside Shop
The Creekside Shop is located in the Nature Center barn. It is open six days a week for your shopping convenience. Regular hours are:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Saturdays: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Nature Center buildings are sometimes closed additional days around the holidays. Please call 319-362-0664 to check our holiday hours.
The Creekside Shop offers a variety of field guides and nature books. Book topics range from beginning birding to prairie restoration. Also featured are t-shirts, bird feeders, heirloom garden seeds, note cards and more.

Honey bears are available for sale in the Creekside Shop. The honey was collected from hives located at the Nature Center. The Shop periodically stocks larger jars of honey, as well as honeycomb,
and other local honey as available.
The Creekside Shop also sells pure maple syrup in a variety of sizes. You love it at the Maple Syrup Fest so take some home with you! Our 8oz bottle is always available in the shop plus we carry pint, quart, half-gallon and gallon jugs when available. Call ahead to check on sizes.
KIDS' CORNER
The Kids' Corner features t-shirts, puzzles, games and more! We also have a great supply of children's books.
MAPLE SYRUPING SUPPLIES
Spiles are available for tapping maple trees in late winter for $3.50/each. Making Maple Syrup is a beginner's guide on how to make maple syrup at home and sells for $3.95.
HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS
Christmas baskets are available in late fall & early winter. They vary in size and price and may contain:
- Prairie Honey from Indian Creek Nature Center
- Pure Maple Syrup, one 8 ounce bottle
Two kits that make nice gifts and are suitable for ages 8 and up are the Hanging Bird Feeder House Kit and Bluebird House Kit. All supplies are included to construct the house.
