CREEKSIDE CONCERT-IOWA VANGUARD JAZZ COLLECTIVE-7:30 PM - Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic basket with your favorite snacks and beverages and join us on the lawn for an evening of traditional and original jazz selections performed by Iowa Vanguard Jazz Collective. SUMMER CAMP-NATURE CAMP: EARLY EXPLORERS(for campers entering 1st-3rd grades)--9AM-3PM--Choose either Session I:Tuesday, June 15-Friday, June 18 or Session II:Tuesday, July 13-Friday, July 16. MEMBER:$80; NONMEMBER:$100--This camp is filled with earthy hands-on experiences. Daily themes include: Zany Zoology. Fur, scales or feathers adorn Iowa's living creatures. Discover who live sin our wild areas and how they "make a living." Going Green Become a botanist and explore the world of grasses, flowers and trees. Water, Fins and Gills. Dip a net into the wetland to catch a sample of amazing aquatic creatures and learn all about their special adaptations. Creature Feature. PUBLIC PROGRAM-YOUTH VOLUNTEER DAY-9:00AM-3:00PM--FREE ICNC invites youth ages 11 and older to participate in a summer solstice day of volunteering to help restore Nature Center habitats with staff. Learn about conservation work and its importance. Registration required by noon on Friday, June 18th. Call 362-0664 to register.

PUBLIC PROGRAM-SUMMER SOLSTICE STROLL-7:00pm -$3/Member,$5/Non-Member,$1/Child--Celebrate the longest day of the year at the Nature Center. The evening will include nature readings and a guided walk to Old Henry, the Founders' Grove and Christiansen Prairie.Call 362-0664 to register.

PUBLIC PROGRAM-BUG ACADEMY-9:00am -$5/Member,$8/Non-Member--Join us to explore wetland areas of ICNC and learn about the rich diversity of aquatic invertebrates found near and in the water. Participants will view a short presentation/slide show illustrating and describing aquatic insects. Hike through beautiful, wet, shady areas and learn how to find and capture these creatures. Focused on ages 7 and up but will be interesting and educationalfor all ages. Wear boots and bring sunscreen! Call 362-0664 to register.
