CREEKSIDE CONCERT-IOWA VANGUARD JAZZ COLLECTIVE-7:30 PM - Bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic basket with your favorite snacks and beverages and join us on the lawn for the first of our 2010 Creekside Concerts! Iowa Vanguard Jazz Collective brings its 16-piece big band sound to the banks of Indian Creek playing arrangements by Count Basie, Duke Ellington and more, along with original compositions and arrangements. Ray Anderson of the State Geologic Survey Bureau will share a geological lens; David Brenzel, a project leader for the Iowa Ice Age Sloth Project, will discuss the Ice Age lens and Jan Aiels will share the human history of ICNC land.
