2010 Honey Fest flyerHoney Fest is
a fun, family event held annually in September. The 2010 Honey Fest will be held on
Sunday, Sept 19th from 1-4pm.
BEE here for fun events and activities like:
- Live music
- Kid’s crafts – beeswax candle making
- Educational stations and demonstrations – take a close look at a bee hive
- Travel our Bee Trail
- Bee-licious Bake Sale (all goods made with honey) and honey lemonade
- ICNC prairie honey and other bee products will be available for purchase.
This year's event also includes a book signing by author and artist Claudia McGehee from 1-3pm!
You can purchase her books in our Creekside Gift Shop. Claudia will also be helping us with a special art project. There will also "bee"
other artists creating interesting and imaginative works along the creek.
Cost is $2 per person; children 3 and under are free.

2010 Maple Syrup Brochure
Maple Syrup Festival is an annual event held the first full weekend in March.
Festivities include tapping a tree, gathering sap and boiling sap into delicious maple syrup.
Come enjoy a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, juice, milk, coffee and OF COURSE, real maple syrup! Great music will be provided for your entertainment.
Advance tickets are sold by the Nature Center Board of Directors, in the Creekside Shop or by mail. If ordering by mail, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a check or money order with your order form.
MAPLE SYRUPING PROGRAMS FOR GROUPS
Learn the history of syruping, the physiology of a tree, how to identify maples and more.
Experience tapping a tree, gathering and boiling sap and tasting delicious maple syrup. Groups are welcome to attend demonstrations of this pioneer craft.
